The Pepper is whatever you want it to be.

“Deconstruct to Reconstruct”
March 2022
Watercolor, Pepper, 200g Paper

The challenge for this project was to take an idea and manipulate it in as many different ways as possible within a single frame. It was difficult but I liked the way it forced me to look for different options I wouldn’t have otherwise thought of. Anytime I look at this painting I am reminded of the plethora of perspectives that exist in this world.

“Veggie Table”
Insulation Foam, Spackle, Resin
November 2021

It’s a pepper. It’s a side table. I created this piece thinking about the intersection between functional and fine art. You can also hug it. it’s huge.

“TCK”
March 2022
Watercolor, Collage, 200g Paper

TCK stands for Third Culture Kid. Third-culture kids/individuals are people who were raised in a culture other than their parents' or the culture of their country of nationality and also live in a different environment during a significant part of their child development years. I felt like an odd pepper for most of my life, until I found a way to be a comfortable, confident blue pepper in a world of pink peppers.
