Saks.com
In 2021, Saks Fifth Avenue split into two separate entitities: brick-and-mortar SFA store fleet and e-commerce company Saks.com. I joined Saks.com in 2022 as a UX/UI summer intern, helping them build mobile and web e-commerce platforms from the ground up. Everything I created was in preparation for AB tests launched that fall.
The company. My role.
Saks is the digital platform for luxury fashion in North America. Driven by a mission to help customers express themselves through relevant and inspiring style, Saks serves as a destination to explore and discover the latest in luxury from established and emerging designers. Their expertly curated assortment features sought-after names in women’s, men’s and kids’ fashion, as well as beauty, home and lifestyle merchandise. Through Saks.com and the mobile app, Saks provides access to professional stylists, inspiring editorial content and interactive events. Their differentiated approach combines elevated online experiences with in-person services through an exclusive partnership with the Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
I was recruited to build Figma components for Saks’ UI design library and explore enhancements in icon systems to understand drivers of account conversion on the website and mobile app. I created product arrays, navigation bars, product filters, CTA buttons, and loyalty program icons, transitioning the team from Sketch to Figma. Additionally, I brainstormed and designed different icon color and animation enhancements for future A/B testing to increase client account creation.
