Inspired by a previous media-themed series, this series explores the omnipresence of social media and smartphones in our daily lives. Replacing phones with vegetables in effect adds to the notion that when on our phones, we become like the vegetable. Although visually ridiculous, it adds an extra layer of meaning to the image. The ridiculousness of the pepper only heightens the ridiculousness of the subject: humans constantly vegetating on their phones.
